Ubuntu Athletics is supporting education of underprivileged children through programs locally in the San Francisco bay area (Brentwood, CA), across the border in Mexico (Tijuana, Mexico), and also overseas (Bangalore, India).

Ubuntu has sponsored education, sporting expenses, and living expenses for 4 student athletes in India. Bhanu is a student athlete with enormous potential at Parikrma School in Bangalore India. He loves soccer and is a fan of Messi! Manoj and Satkholen are also avid soccer fans and have played on their respective state teams. Kavana is another student, who excels at Taekwondo. She has won several championships and will only get better! Parikrma (www.parikrma.org) is an organization focused on providing education to underprivileged students in India.

DOXA



Ubuntu Athletics made another international contribution when we paired up with DOXA. DOXA (www.doxaserves.org) is a non-profit organization that serves the community of Tijuana, Mexico through educational opportunities, house-building, and community service. We really believed in the DOXA cause and wanted to help the them out. We partnered with DOXA to start soccer camps in the orphanage that DOXA  supported. Ubuntu provided the funds for the coach, Laozeth Chan, a former professional soccer player, as well as payed for the equipment and transportation, in order to make it all possible. We feel like it is a real blessing to be able to give these orphans another thing to look forward to in their lives. In fact, we have been tracking the soccer camps, and the kids are having a blast!
Ubuntu Athletics recently contributed to the afterschool program that DOXA hosts in Tijuana next to the orphanage. We donated 5 laptops and 5 robotics kits to DOXA, and trained the teachers at the program to run their own independent robotics classes using our donations. The afterschool program helps 60-70 students at no charge, and is now offering STEM robotics classes.

Top Soccer (Impact Soccer Neto Fund)

Ubuntu Athletics has teamed up Impact Soccer Neto Fund to sponsor soccer training to kids with special needs in the Brentwood, CA area. 

TopSoccer is a modified version of the game of soccer designed to provide opportunities for children with special needs, ages 4-19. Modifications are made to the game to allow full participation and enjoyment to each child. One-on-one assistance is available to those who need it.
